If you enter South Africa and Mozambique coming from a country where yellow fever exists (e.g., West Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia), you may be asked to present your yellow-fever vaccination certificate. There is no yellow fever in Mozambique. Note that if you arrive in Maputo on a flight from Nairobi or Addis Ababa, you will have to present a yellow fever vaccination certificate. If you do not have this certificate, you will be vaccinated at the airport.

The overall HIV incidence in Mozambique is 12.5%, but this value can vary considerably, depending on the location.
